History

Invicta Marine Ltd. was incorporated in 1996 and has operated since then as a marine consultancy based in Victoria, British Columbia.

We specialize in development and implementation of safety management systems and ship security systems to meet the requirements of the ISM and ISPS Codes. We also offer training, project management, and audit and inspection services.

We provide specialist services to clients including:

• Operational risk management
• Safety management
• Marine security
• Training
• Surveys
• Development of bespoke and hosted software solutions for monitoring and management of all safety management system activities.

Bob Beadell is the President and principal consultant at Invicta Marine Ltd. Bob is a marine engineer with over 5 decades of hard practical experience. He has held senior positions in various companies with responsibilities ranging from shipboard operations, shore management, vessel construction, refit and repair, safety management and marine security.

He has written papers and articles on a range of topics from Safety Management to STCW 95 to Marine Applications for Fuel Cells and been a guest speaker at various major international conferences.

Bob has been a member of the Institute of Marine Engineering Science and Technology (IMarEST) for over 45 years.

He was formerly a board member with Ocean Initiatives BC (OIBC) and also sat on the board of the Vancouver Island Soccer League (VISL) for 10 years. 

Bob holds a Master of Science in Sustainable Maritime Operations from MLA College/Plymouth University.
