Marine OH&S Regulations
Internationally many flags have implemented their own industry specific requirements for OH&S in the marine industry. In Germany it is the Accident Prevention Regulations that govern OH&S, the UK also has Accident Prevention Regulations supported by the Code of Safe Working Practices for Merchant Seamen. In Canada the Canada Labour Code, in particular the Marine Occupational Health and Safety Regulations, is applicable for vessels trading internationally or interprovincially while in BC the Workers Compensation Act and Regulations apply.
